Episode 29: Heroine in the Battlefield Politicians: “The domination of the Romefeller Foundation is reaching worldwide proportions. And there are skirmishes with militia groups fighting against them breaking out everywhere.” “We have also held to our policy of Absolute Pacifism and have not given them any resistance.” “We will keep the peace if we only accept them, but…” “That’s not true peace however. It’s just cowering under their oppression. And this oppression will only produce more fighting.” “What is the right thing to do?” Relena: “In the history of Man, there have been so many countries, races, and ideas. We can’t do anything about the wars that occur everywhere else. Freedom is the right thing for everyone. However, we do have to understand that total freedom can never be achieved. What we need for the treaty, and for peaceful coexistence, is the sense that we’re considerate of everyone’s feelings. What we definitely don’t need is more war. Our job is to learn from the mistakes committed in the past and to build a bright new future.” Politicians: “I thought that we couldn’t resist against the might of the Romefeller Foundation as a country alone.” “That’s right. Here in the Sank Kingdom, we’ve been influenced by the ideals of Absolute Pacifism, which were praised by King Peacecraft himself. It’s our only hope.” Relena: “I’m just following what my father taught me. I know I’ve said some pretty inexcusable things to you. But I need your help in achieving a lasting peace for more countries, and for more people.” Politicians: “We will all cooperate together.” Soldiers: “You’ve finished your talks without a hitch. It’s not that we were watching you or anything like that…” “You just finished it earlier than schedule.” Relena: “Our decision is adamant. That’s why it didn’t take too much time.” Soldier: “We, the annoying delegates will be going. You obviously don’t want us here.” Relena: “We don’t think of the Romefeller Foundation as annoying. I just want you to correct that mistake. Before many more lives are lost.” > Soldier: “My Count, there are only two spacesuits. It seems that only two boys came down.” Count: “Understood. I guess we don’t have any business here. You can return to the base. The Space colonies and the Romefeller Foundation are now allied. Their duties must have been completed.” Soldier: “An order to execute the Gundam pilots has been issued.” Count: “It’ll be easy to execute them. As a matter of fact, our country is under Romefeller Foundation control, but I would like to postpone the executions.” Heero: “Quatre, don’t you like dogs?” Quatre: “No, I like them very much.” Heero: “Well then, why don’t you play with them? They like you more than me. Dogs instinctively know those who are kind.” Quatre: “Is kindness necessary for war?” Heero: “No, kindness isn’t necessary. Not while we’re fighting. But at other times, we may need it. Right now, we’re not fighting.” > Quatre: “Thank you very much. You’ve been very kind to us. You must have received orders for our execution.” Count: “Well, headquarters told me that they will come here personally to take you. To be honest, I’m glad that I don’t have to be the one doing the job. But I still have to hand you over to them when the time comes.” Quatre: “Please, do what you have to do. You have done a lot for us already.” Count: “Are you saying that you won’t resist the arrest?” Heero: “We haven’t decided on what to do when that time comes. But I know I’m not going to throw away my life.” Count: “You guys are strong. This country has thrown in with the Romefeller Foundation’s policy of domination. However, many people are questioning it. We had to choose their way to avoid a useless and costly war.” Quatre: “It was the right choice to protect your people’s lives. We now believe that Space did the same thing for the same reason.” Heero: “The Romefeller Foundation sees us Gundam pilots as an annoyance. Those who try to kill me are my enemies. If I don’t want to die, I’ll have to keep fighting.” Quatre: “That’s the only thing left for us to do in our position.” Heero: “Yes, if you don’t want to wind up dead.” > Soldier: “To the carrier, this is a warning! Surrender your craft! We will shoot you down if you don’t. Repeat. Surrender your craft!” Sally: “50 degrees North Latitude. It must be really cold down there, but I can’t let have OZ have it so easily.” Noin: “That must be it.” Soldier: “C’mon. Move it.” Soldier: “Sally Po, you’d better be thankful for the fire. The new OZ order is kind.” Sally: “I’ll only be treated like an important guest until you find out what’s inside of that carrier.” Soldier 2: “I heard that if the Gundam pilots moved, the resistance that sided with them would move as well… I didn’t expect that I would have the Gundams themselves.” Sally: “So the Gundam pilots are on Earth. I have to deliver this to them somehow. Shit. So many countries have sided with the Romefeller Foundation. This won’t be an easy job.” > Soldier: “If it’s a Gundam, we won’t have the metal insignia. But we do have the insignia of the carrier. Look for it.” > Soldier: “What’s going on? An intruder?” Sally: “Who are you?” Noin: “I want to know the truth. Is that the real thing out there in the ocean?” Sally: “I would die to get out of here.” Noin: “I want the Gundams to fight against the Romefeller Foundation. I want you to judge for yourself if this would be best for all, as someone who shares the same enemy.” Sally: “I don’t have time to make that judgement.” Noin: “Then let’s go.” Noin: “So it is the real thing. That’s why they came so quickly.” Sally: “This one’s called 01 by OZ. You said that you wanted the Gundams to help your country. Where is it?” Noin: “I can’t tell you now. Let’s just say that it’s the country that resists the Romefeller Foundation and never knows when it will be attacked. The person who is necessary for our future rules over our country. This person will be able to bring true peace to us for sure.” Sally: “Do you think you can destroy the Romefeller Foundation with only the Gundams?” Noin: “This pilot will destroy the Romefeller Foundation for sure.” Sally: “I guess because I know the pilot of the Gundam, I get a little reckless myself when I do things.” Noin: “I think some problems may come up if I have to rely on them. But I want their power.” Sally: “No one wants war. But those who can fight should fight. I truly believe this. I’m too hesitant to use the word ‘justice’ in this case, but I really think it fits them. It could turn out to be a terrible thing, because they’re expected to be the heroes of the day. But I want to follow their lead. Then I think I can avoid choosing the wrong path.” Heero: “The operation to exterminate the Gundams will occur in two places. One place is here with us.” Quatre: “The other one is where Heero left his Gundam behind.” Heero: “It’s called 01. I think you’re right.” Quatre: “Heero, do you know of the country called Sank Kingdom? The Romefeller Foundation’s data banks show that it’s been a thorn in their side quite often.” Heero: “Sank Kingdom…” Quatre: “They’re interested in the moving of 01. They are trying very hard to hide it though. And its pilot too. I want to go there. I want to go there and do something for them.” Quatre: “Good boy, good boy. The only guards watching us are these two.” Heero: “I guess they’re suggesting that we escape.” Quatre: “This country doesn’t wish to fight them. We are the cause of their trouble.” Heero: “The commander has a problem. The problem is that he’s too kind. Let’s go, Quatre.” Quatre: “Yes.” Soldier: “I got something. It’s coming toward us.” Man in charge: “Is there anything from Count Townsend?” Soldier: “No word.” Man in charge: “Check into this matter.” Soldier: “Yes sir.” Count Townsend: “What? They’re heading towards the Romefeller Foundation’s unit? Why don’t they escape?” Soldier: “There’s an emergency message from the unit. They want a report about the aircraft heading towards them.” Soldier 2: “Count Townsend, this was left behind.” Count: “It’s from the Gundam pilots?” Soldier 2: “What does it say, Count?” Count: “Make a report right now that they’ve escaped. They don’t want us to be in trouble anymore. That’s…” Quatre: “Thank you, Count. I think we’d better escape, but we must always choose to fight.” Heero: “It’s the same wherever we go. What I know I can do is fight.” Count: “How foolish they are.” Soldier: “It’s an enemy attack! An enemy attack!” > Noin: “It’s coming. Go!” Sally: “Understood. See you later. I got them. Fire the torpedoes.” Soldier: “What? The enemy?” Sally: “I know this is tough, but I have to do it.” Noin: “I know… But I want them for the Sank Kingdom.” > Quatre: “Get your hands up. Don’t try to resist! Now please signal the other ships. I don’t want to get things any more messed up than they are now.” Heero: “Listen to him. If I were him, I would’ve killed you right away.” Quatre: “Actually, I wanted to live my life in peace. But it’s totally out of the question now…” Quatre: “Heero, where do you want to go?” Heero: “There’s no place in particular that I want to go.” Quatre: “There are a lot of kind people on Earth. But if we rely on them, they’ll get into trouble. We really don’t have any place to go.” Heero: “Quatre, because the Earth is one big battlefield, I will go there and fight. And you have to join me as well. We’re Gundam pilots. We’re only allowed to live in a battlefield. For us, to live truly means survival in a war zone.” > Sally: “This is Sally. I’ve taken control of the surface area. How’s your status?” Noin: “I’m seeing to it now. It’s been a long time.” Sally: “Use it to help defend your country.” Noin: “I really appreciate it. My name is Lucrezia Noin. The country I’m trying to save is…” Sally: “Noin, that’s enough. I don’t need to ask for the name of your country. I trust you. It’s an honor for me to assist any country who resists the tyranny of Romefeller.” Noin: “Sally…” Sally: “I’m going to look for more Gundams. If you receive any information about any more, please come and help me. It would be better if you brought two or three pilots next time.” Noin: “I will be there. To return your trust. I swear to you by god and my country.” > Dorothy: “They’re just going back. I was stupid to come and see them. I thought they would’ve taken this opportunity to attack Sank Kingdom. But I’m sure that the Mobile Dolls won’t be enough. They’re just puppets. They can’t win against the Princess’ own knight defenders.” Pargan: “Lady Relena, do you think the new student is trustworthy?” Relena: “Why, Pargan?” Pargan: “I heard that she’s related to Dermail, who is the leader of the Romefeller Foundation. I hate to say this, but I don’t think she likes the idea of Absolute Pacifism… I think there might be some kind of secret plot going on behind all this…” Relena: “The Romefeller Foundation said that it wanted to learn about Sank Kingdom’s Absolute Pacifism, so that it too can build a peaceful nation. That’s why they sent this student. You have nothing to worry about.” Pargan: “The Foundation… I cannot trust them.” Relena: “I can’t do anything about you not trusting people. We ourselves have done nothing wrong. I think this is a good chance to have them understand that.” Relena: “My name is Relena Peacecraft, Chairman of the Board of Directors. Welcome to the Sank Kingdom.” Dorothy: “I didn’t know that the Sank Kingdom’s very own Princess is also the Chairman of the Board. My name is Dorothy Catalonia. It is a pleasure to meet you.” Relena: “I’m still unable to do anything on my own yet. I’ll be learning about Absolute Pacifism together with you.” Dorothy: “As you know, I come from the Romefeller Foundation. The Foundation itself possesses a huge military arsenal. I am truly interested in this policy Sank Kingdom has. What would you do if they were to invade your country? All of this wonderful scenery would be destroyed in seconds… I can’t imagine such a terrible thing happening… No one wants to let such idiotic people conquer this country. What would you do if such a devastating and tragic thing were to happen to this place?” Relena: “I don’t believe anyone is stupid in this world. We can understand each other through discussion. I believe that in doing so, there can be peace.” Dorothy: “Lady Relena, I am stupid. I like war. I love it. I shouldn’t be staying here with such ideas in my head.” Relena: “No. The first stage of our country’s policy is to bring such matters into discussion. Let’s talk about these things, Miss Dorothy.” Dorothy: “Please, call me Dorothy, Lady Relena.” Relena: “Call me Relena.” Dorothy: “No, I can’t.” Relena: “What?” Dorothy: “Lady Relena is the heroine of this era. Lady Relena, I admire you a lot.” > Pargan: “Dorothy Catalonia. She’s the same age as Lady Relena. I thought she was a devout believer in the Romefeller Foundation’s policy of domination. But she wasn’t.” Noin: “You can’t get careless. Have her placed under constant surveillance.” Pargan: “I’ve already prepared that. Miss Dorothy is much stronger than I thought.” Noin: “What do you mean?” Pargan: “Miss Dorothy loves war. Just now, Lady Relena tried to put down her instinct to fight, and I think her being here tires Lady Relena.” Noin: “Lady Relena’s thoughts are wonderful. She knows how tough it is, especially now that it’s our duty to protect her.” Pargan: “Even if it means that we arm ourselves.” Noin: “Correct. I can’t let anyone assassinate Lady Relena like our country’s King was. We shall not let that happen. I will protect Lady Relena even if I have to play dirty to do it. I will act like a shadow for this country.” > Dorothy: “I want war now!” tsudzuku -SeaVixen Mikage no Koibito Keeper of Dorothy's Lingerie Gilbert no Miko Member of the Meeping Faction: Akio, Dorothy, Hirose, Aburatsubo, and Youji must all MEEP!
